Christmas Jumper Day - Friday 22nd December!

15 December 2017 · News

John Ferneley College will be holding a Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 22nd December. Although we are not asking students to bring money in on this occasion, any donations will be welcome and will be in support of our school charities The Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation and MIND.

This is NOT a non-uniform day, just blazers being replaced with a Christmas jumper, if students wish to do so, with their usual school trousers or skirts – don’t forget to bring your lanyards as well! Don’t worry if your child does not have a Christmas jumper as we are asking staff and students to either wear a Christmas jumper, hat, scarf or earrings!

Years 7, 8 & 9 will also be going to St Mary’s Church for the Christmas Celebration Service on the morning of the 22nd December. Although the church has just re-opened after a refurbishment and has a new heating system, we still advise students to wear a coat as it may be cold while they are waiting for the buses to and from the church.

Students in Year 10 & 11 will be involved in Science and Maths workshops throughout the morning. Parents will have already received a letter about this.

The 22nd December will be a busy day as it is also Christmas lunch day! Don’t forget to return your reply slips with your child’s order for the day. Payment can be made through ParentPay.
