Easter is on the horizon

31 March 2017 · Head Teacher's blog

I was delighted with last week's fundraising efforts in aid of Comic Relief. I knew it was going to be a good one when some stocks arrived behind reception on Wednesday.... As always at Ferneley, there was an overwhelming sense of coming together as a community. It seemed that everyone was involved: vast numbers of students took part in a very special lip sync battle (some teachers couldn't resist either!); students across all year groups queued up to throw sponges at teachers - even those in the stocks! However, what I loved best was that lessons were superb on Friday, too - there was some really high quality learning going on - all in all a very healthy day. And so to the last week of what has been a very productive and long term. Students and staff are shattered, so I have organised a few eggstra special treats to keep us going - keep your eyes open for a VIP visit on Friday, with an Easter theme, of course :-)
