Overview

At John Ferneley College, we pride ourselves on the high quality, student centred extra-curricular provision in the Performing Arts department.   We are incredibly proud of the whole school musicals that are put on every year which usually include over 120 students both on stage, backstage, learning  with the tech team and supporting with refreshments and organisation.   We run smaller clubs such as Drama club, Ukulele club and the Vox with over 80 regular members and perform at a variety of events including the Melton Mowbray Light Switch on every Christmas, the college carol service, performances at De Montfort Hall and even The Royal Albert Hall.

Music, including Music Lessons

This year we working with the Leicestershire Schools Music Service and are kick starting a brand new band for children across the town both at secondary and primary schools who can attend every week no matter their instrument or ability. Students can also receive additional music lessons at John Ferneley College and have access to subject specialists for anything from drums to vocal coaching.
