Punctuality

Preparing students for a successful adult life and higher education possibilities is of paramount importance to the college and instilling good practice with punctuality is a key part of this. There are expectations in every day life that you are on time for work, meetings, appointments and social events, failure to do so can result in missed opportunities, negative consequences and effected relationships when people are constantly late.

It is the parents/guardians responsibility to get their child/ren into school on time on a daily basis.

The school day starts at 8:45am prompt and we would expect students to be in school and in their zones by 8.40am ready for tutor. Any student that arrives after this point will be classed as late and will be set a break time detention to make up the time. Any student that arrives after registration closes (without valid reason) will lose the whole morning’s attendance mark and thus lower their overall attendance percentage.

Punctuality affects the overall attendance figures and will impact on valuable learning time.

If your child is 5 minutes late every day they will miss three days of learning each year.
If your child is 15 minutes late every day they will miss is 2 weeks of learning each year
