year 10 students to self-isolate - return to school on Wednesday 2nd december
Dear Parents/Guardians of Year 10,
We have been made aware of a positive coronavirus case in Year 10, not related to the earlier case reported today (20th November 2020).
Following advice by the Department for Education and Public Health England, and with another case in Year 10 confirmed, the whole year group must now self-isolate.
This means that the Year 10 ‘bubble’ will be closed and all Year 10 students will need to remain at home and self-isolate for 14 days from the day the student started to show symptoms. All Year 10 students are to return to school on Wednesday 2nd December.
For those few Year 10 students already self-isolating, we ask that you do not return until Wednesday 2nd December also.
I know the news will be disappointing, but this is to limit the amount of contact Year 10 students have with each other over the next 14 days and the rest of the community, to help limit any further transmission. Please ensure your child remains at home during this time period.
The school remains open for other year groups, including siblings.
Teachers will either deliver live lessons or upload recorded lessons in line with your child’s normal teaching timetable, and provide accompanying work. All students self-isolating from home must log onto ‘Teams’ to access their work from subject teachers. As your child is learning at home, it is essential that they can access their ‘Teams’ account, and we would expect you to support us with this.
If your child is having issues with their ‘Teams’ password, please contact Miss K Shotton (Administrator) at [email protected].
