Creative iMedia

Curriculum Intent Overview

At Mowbray Education Trust, our Creative iMedia curriculum is designed to inspire and equip students for success in a digital-first world. Students develop the technical skills, creative thinking, and professional awareness needed to thrive in the modern media industry. Through hands-on projects, students learn to plan, create, and evaluate digital media products, building confidence and industry-relevant expertise.

The curriculum focusses on creating digital products such as graphics, websites, and animations. Students interpret client briefs, plan effective solutions, and use industry-standard software. They also develop transferable skills in digital planning, time management, and critical evaluation.

The Key Stage 3 curriculum introduces essential digital literacy and creative software skills, which are built upon at Key Stage 4. Here, students apply their learning to complex, industry-aligned projects, culminating in a nationally recognised qualification.

Creative iMedia empowers students to become digitally capable and career-ready, preparing them for further education, apprenticeships, or employment in a media-rich society.
