Alongside our whole school open event on Wednesday 24th September, we run a series of subject-specific open events across the school year to allow pupils to come and get a flavour of what each subject area looks like in more detail.

All subject-specific events run from 4 - 5pm. Please email [email protected] to book a place for your child(ren). Dates of each event are as follows:

• Whole School Open Evening - Wednesday 24th, 5 - 7pm (no booking required).

October

• Science - Tuesday 7th
• Art - Thursday 30th 

November

• Music - Thursday 27th 

December

• Maths - Wednesday 3rd

April

• PE - Thursday 23rd 
• Humanities - Thursday 30th 

 

For pupils who have secured a place to start at John Ferneley in August 2026 - our two full transition days will be Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th June 2026. More information will follow once Leicestershire County Council have confirmed your child's place. This will happen after national offer day on Monday 1st March or the closest next working day (if 1 March falls on a non-working day).
