Year 11 information

Dear Parents/Carers and Year 11 students,

I cannot begin to express how difficult it is to end the academic year via a letter, and I am acutely aware that many students would like the opportunity to say goodbye.  Please see below for some important dates for your diary:

Results dayThursday 20th August

This year it is a different event due to the unprecedented situation that we are currently facing.

At this time, the plan is that you will receive your results via email on this day. If there are any concerns regarding the results, you will be able to arrange an appointment with a member of the Senior Leadership Team. We will be reviewing this regularly over the summer and, if possible, we will change the plans so that you can collect your results in person.

If the results must be sent via email then we will look to arrange some form of celebration for all students, possibly on Friday 21st August.

Prom – Friday 4th December (£30)

The annual prom has always been well attended and is often fondly remembered by our students for many years to come.  If you have not already done so, you can purchase your ticket through the school gateway.

Yearbook – Late January 2021 (£20)

We will be including pictures from the prom in our yearbook, as such, final editing and printing will take place after Christmas in readiness for a January delivery.  More details regarding collection will be made available nearer the time.

If you have any issues regarding payment for the yearbook or prom, please contact [email protected]

Donations – Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th July 10am – 1pm

You can donate any unwanted uniform and revision guides to the bungalow this coming Monday and Tuesday.  Please can you ensure items being donated are double bagged.

Post 16 provision

Post 16 providers should have been in touch to update you regarding provision for the next academic year and in many cases provide work in anticipation of starting in September.  Smaller providers or apprenticeships may be experiencing logistical difficulties due to the current climate.  If you have not yet heard from your provider or if your college place is in jeopardy please get in touch with Mrs Stanley [email protected].

On behalf of all of us at JFC, I would like to thank you for your support over the years.  We wish you and your family a restful summer and look forward to seeing you again.

Yours sincerely,
Mr S. Amliwala
